Rules of the Competition 

​

Adult entries for the show are restricted to residents of Kirkliston and district only. Children living out with the village but who attend Kirkliston Primary School, Kirkliston based Nursery/Playgroups or the Kirkliston Scouts/Guides troops, etc are permitted to exhibit in the show.

 

Under 19’s may enter adult classes as well as classes in the appropriate Youth, Junior and Children’s sections. Entries will not be accepted in these sections from those who fall outside the specified age range.

All articles entered for competition must be genuine/bona fide produce of the exhibitor and trophies can only be awarded to residents of Kirkliston and district.

​

Entries are limited to one per class per person.

​

Entry forms should be returned (via email only) by 6PM on the Thursday preceding the show.

​

Exhibits will be accepted at the Community Centre on the morning of the Show. See the Facebook page for timings. ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OUTWITH THESE TIMES.

​

Competitors’ labels must be completed in full and be firmly attached to exhibits. 

 

Names or identification must not be visible on any exhibit.

  

Competitors are not allowed in the Centre other than at drop of and collection.

​

The Secretary or Official duly appointed shall record the judges’ decisions which are final. Such record shall constitute the official prize list.

​

Judges may exercise their discretion as to the worth of the entry in any class justifying modification of the prize.

​

No entry to be removed before 3:35pm. Entries not uplifted by 4:00pm will be discarded.

​

All exhibits accepted at the owners’ risk.

​

Exhibits entered must not be prize winners from previous shows.

​

Due to COVID19 restrictions, the organisers reserve the right to vary these rules in advance of the show.
